The Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio region is emerging as a living lab of applied sustainability, where businesses, institutions, and tourism operators collaborate to build a balanced development model. Sustainability here acts as a tool for territorial cohesion, it means protecting the landscape, ensuring community well-being, and generating shared value.
Managed by the Migros Group, Ferrovia Monte Generoso SA embodies the principle of sustainable mobility, actively protecting both the landscape and local biodiversity. The ecological management of the Bellavista dry grasslands has even been recognised by the Natura & Economia Foundation.
