The Bruzella Mill celebrates 30 years!

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the Bruzella Mill celebrates its 30th anniversary with a day of celebration open to all, in the picturesque Breggia valley. Operating since 1996, the Mill is now a living symbol of the Muggio Valley: a place where tradition, sustainability, and local production meet, transforming corn into flour and shared labor into culture and sociality.

For the occasion, the Ethnographic Museum of the Muggio Valley (of which the mill is part) is organizing:

• in addition to the celebration, “La röda dal güst,” a guided tour with stops between Bruzella and the Mill, by registration. “La röda dal güst” (approximately 10:00 am–1:00 pm) is a stroll to discover, slowly and curiously, the soul of the Muggio Valley through its flavors, landscapes, and traditions. Along the route, participants will encounter four stations (Fire, Earth, Stone, and Water) with tastings of local products, music, and interactive activities: from the oven and the graa to clay creations, from old millstones to the sounds of the river, until arriving at the Mill, where the walk concludes, joining the popular festival.

• A rich festive program without registration at the Mill, with the bar opening from 11:00 a.m., polenta and grill cooking from 12:30 p.m., live music, children's entertainment, storytelling, live caricatures, and other activities for all ages. Live music with the Elastik Bandèla. Space for the route is limited and registration is required by August 24th.

Transportation to Bruzella It is recommended to reach Bruzella by public transportation. For participants in the program who must register and are arriving from outside the valley, special transportation will be provided from the Castel San Pietro schools to Bruzella and back, with departures at 9:30 am and 4:00 pm (reservations are required via the registration form or by calling +41 091 690 20 38 by August 24th). For those arriving by car, parking spaces will be posted on-site.

In case of rain The event will be postponed to 2027. The Mill will still be open and will offer an aperitif from 3:00 pm.
