Felice Varini

The exhibition unfolds as a comprehensive intervention, occupying every space in the museum: from the sixteenth-century cloister, which accompanies visitors toward the entrance, to the interior exhibition rooms, conceived as stages in a unified and immersive journey. Each space, each room, each architectural space hosts a specific installation, conceived in direct relation to its structural, volumetric, and perceptual characteristics.

Through this itinerary, the public is invited to retrace Varini's entire career, from his earliest works to his most recent research. The selection includes historic works updated specifically for the spaces of the Mendrisio Art Museum, as well as new installations conceived specifically for the occasion.

In both cases, the artist intervenes in the space not as a simple container, but as the very material of the work.
