Scopri il Mendrisiotto - General terms and conditions

Acceptance of the general conditions
These general terms and conditions set out the legal conditions on the basis of which the Organizzazione Turistica Regionale Mendrisiotto e Basso Ceresio (hereinafter referred to as OTRMBC), whose head office is located at Via Angelo Maspoli 15, 6850 Mendrisio (Switzerland) and which can be contacted using the following email address, etmbc@mendrisiottoturismo.ch or by calling the number +41 91 641 30 52, allows you to obtain and use a nominal voucher booklet worth CHF 50.

By submitting your request for a voucher booklet and registering on the dedicated platform, accessible at www.mendrisiottoturismo.ch/scopri-il-mendrisiotto/registrazione (hereinafter, platform), you confirm that you have read and approved the following general conditions.

OTRMBC may amend the General Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be informed of any substantial changes that have occurred. The conditions will be deemed to have been approved if the customer does not object to them in writing to OTRMBC.

Conditions for obtaining the voucher booklet Scopri il Mendrisiotto
The OTRMBC makes 3,000 voucher booklets available from 1 August 2020 to 31 October 2020 (available by default in 1,000 booklets in August / 1,000 booklets in September / 1,000 booklets in October) to customers who meet the following criteria:

  • At the time of booking make sure that the structure you have chosen adheres to the initiative (click here and in any case contact directly the structure you have chosen for your stay).
  • All bookings must be made directly at the chosen accommodation facility. Reservations made through an external platform will not be accepted
  • They have booked a stay of at least 3 nights in a Hotel/B&B in the Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio Region between 1 August and 31 October 2020
  • They have sent confirmation of the booking to OTRMBC via the form (at least 48 hours' notice, working days)

If the customer cancels his reservation, the voucher booklet will not be delivered to him and it is the responsibility of the accommodation facility to inform OTRMBC and return the voucher booklet in full.

How voucher booklets work
Customers who meet the above mentioned conditions must register on the platform in order to receive the voucher booklet at the accommodation facility where they are staying. If the conditions and available stock allow it, the voucher booklet will be delivered to the indicated accommodation facility before the client's arrival. An employee of the hotel or B&B will hand it over to you upon check-in.

With the vouchers it is possible to pay a single amount or more, with the participating partners, without limitations and until the available credit is exhausted, for services within the Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio Region, such as (not exhaustive list, confirmations in progress):

  • A lunch or dinner in a restaurant / grotto
  • Entrance to museums
  • The entrance to the lidos and swimming pools
  • The rental of 3D glasses at the Archaeological Park of Tremona-Castello respectively at the Fossil Museum of Monte San Giorgio
  • A visit to the Cement Route
  • A winetasting in the winecellar or at the Casa del Vino Ticino as well as the purchase of bottles of wine
  • A boat trip starting from Brusino or Capolago
  • The rental of equipment or a lesson to practice water sports and paragliding
  • A ride with the Brusino-Serpiano Cableway
  • An activity promoted by Mendrisiotto Terroir
  • A guided tour

The voucher booklets are nominative, non-transferable, bear the name of the person and indicate the period of stay and therefore the period of validity of the voucher. They are valid only if duly completed and stamped by OTR Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio (on the cover page and on the back of the vouchers). They are also valid if the hotel has entered the name of the employee who delivers the pad, his signature and his stamp.

In order to be able to pay with a CHF 5.- voucher or more vouchers for any of the offers, it is essential that the tourist presents the whole booklet and not just the detached voucher. The partner is obliged to comply with this condition and not to accept vouchers detached from the booklet.

No monetary exchanges and therefore returns, refunds or subtractions of the amount to be returned are possible. Unused vouchers are in no case refundable at the end of the stay.

Vouchers can pay part or all of the amount that may already be discounted by Ticino Ticket or any other proposal, offered at the time of purchase (menu of the day, discounted rate AHV, IV, Ticino Ticket, ...).

Vouchers cannot be used to pay for accommodation or parking or to pay for purchases/services of any kind other than those provided (non-exhaustive list, confirmations in progress):
