Lighting not only on the square in Stabio
Stabio welcomes change and lights up some of the village's buildings with a theme.
The parish church provides a backdrop for the Christmas tree and, together, they make the Piazza Maggiore look welcoming and almost magical. On the facade of the red-lit Museum of Rural Life, Börne's maxim Nothing Lasts Like Change triumphs.
The Town Hall recalls, without mentioning it, the traditional event Christmas begins in the Square, sending out the positive message: Next Year, in the Square.
Finally, almost as if it were a beacon over the village, the so-called castle (the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and Saint Roch) has also been lit up in red and, positioned on top of a hill, can be observed from afar.
The illuminations are the work of the Stabio Culture Department and the Mendrisiotto Museum of Rural Life.
