Festa d'Autunno e 16a Sagra Cantonale del Miele FTA

The Municipality of Chiasso is also hosting this year’s Autumn Festival in conjunction with the 16th Cantonal Honey Fair.

The event will take place at Piazza Indipendenza and Corso San Gottardo on Sunday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Once again, the event will feature local cheese producers, artisans offering traditional handcrafted goods, educational activities and autumn readings for both children and adults, musical entertainment, and a lunch featuring polenta and stew.

All this aims to give a distinctly autumnal feel and highlight the unique character of our Mendrisiotto region.

Program

• From 10:00 a.m.: Waiting for Halloween - Creative workshop  
• 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Concert with the teachers of Musica Cittadina Chiasso
• 12:00 p.m.: Polenta and stew - Gruppo Ester@fatti - 5 CHF per portion  
• 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Musical entertainment with Giacomo Morandi
• From 2:00 p.m.: Entertainment with the music school Le Officine Musicali directed by M° Fulvio Rosa  
• 3:00 p.m.: Pumpkin race – Fun for all ages  

Throughout the day, educational activities and creative games for children and teenagers will be offered by Il Nuovo Coccolo and the operators of La Casa delle Api from Mezzana.

There will be entertainment throughout the day with Il Nuovo Coccolo, Ricreo (creative activities with recycled materials), Ielpoman (personalized photos), and in the afternoon, Circolarte (creative activities with tempera paint).

All day long, you can join the hunt for decorated stones hidden around the city.
