Everyone is asleep - Concrete Theatre Show
Based on Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters.
Directed by Diego Willy Corna.
Freely inspired by this famous text, one of the most representative of American culture of the last century, an itinerant event will be held in which the City and its community will be the protagonists.
Edgar Lee Masters publishes this collection of poems, in the form of an epitaph, at the beginning of the 20th century in America. It recounts the lives of Spoon River's habitants buried in the local cemetery. The characters have abandoned the hill where they were buried for the time of a story, to reclaim the life they missed. Relieved of all social rules, they address bystanders with irreverence. They have interrupted their rest to awaken them to life.
First performance 9:30 p.m.
Second performance at 11:00 p.m.
Departing from La Filanda, a path through the nucleus of Mendrisio.
