The museum, carefully extended and renovated by top architect Mario Botta, was re-opened in October 2012, and is situated in the characteristic village centre of Meride. Discover its valuable collection of fossils which has been assembled by researchers over the course of more than 100 years’ excavation work on Monte San Giorgio. And a few steps away you will find the transnational paleontological educational trail.
