1981 – 2011
The museum was opened on 11 April 1981 and in one of the many articles which appeared at the time you could read: “not only a new museum but ... a means of research to find the real image of our people and an authentic cultural identity again, without make-believe or nostalgia of a world which was certainly not idyllic.”.
In these 30 years the museum with its archives and collection items has become a small documentation centre enabling temporary exhibitions to be organised, which allow for a more in-depth discourse, where new moments of the past can always be discovered.
