The m.a.x. Museum was opened on 12th November 2005. The seat is near the renovated Cinema Teatro; this enables a synergy to be created between the structures and a new pole to be constructed characterised by exhibition and cultural content of international importance.
Besides temporary exhibitions the visitor will have the chance to admire a permanent exhibition of the still alive graphic and pictorial creations of Max Huber (Baar, 1919 – Mendrisio, 1992); he was the Swiss German protagonist in the field of graphics, projects and design, who used to come back every evening from his atelier in Milan to his beloved Chiasso.
